Seven years ago we were sitting on a Sunday somewhere in a suburb of Valencia enjoying fantastic tapas and a bottle of Remelluri blanco. This was the moment we missed our flight, but also the moment the Amsterdam Wine Festival was born.
The passion for the experience of culture, the typical dishes per country and the amount of wine made us think. In addition, we thought that the semi-annual harvest of the winegrowers should be celebrated.
Now seven years later we are so very proud to be able to celebrate the harvest festivals of the Northern Hemisphere with you.
We have decided to unpack extra this edition. The Gashouder and the Transformatorhuis are packed with wineries from special countries. Think of wine countries such as France, Portugal, Germany, Austria, USA, the Netherlands and Italy. In addition, we have added Georgia, Armenia, Lebanon and Morocco to the wonderful selection.
The workshops, the grape stomping and the wine quizzes on stage should not be missed. After a good dose of wine knowledge, the feet hit the dance floor.
Enjoy everything you encounter in the Gashouder, the Transformatorhuis and on the Klönneplein.

De passie voor de beleving van cultuur, de typische gerechten per land en de hoeveelheid wijn zette ons aan het denken. Daarnaast vonden we dat de halfjaarlijkse oogst van de wijnboeren gevierd moest worden.
Nu zeven jaar later zijn wij zo ontzettend trots dat we samen met jullie de oogstfeesten van het Noordeljik halfrond mogen vieren.
We hebben besloten om extra uit te pakken deze editie. De Gashouder en het Transformatorhuis zit sjok vol met wijnhuizen uit bijzonder landen. Denk aan wijnlanden zoals Frankrijk, Portugal, Duitsland, Oostenrijk, USA, Nederland en Italië. Daarnaast hebben we Georgië, Armenië, Libanon en Marokko aan de prachtige selectie toegevoegd.
De workshops, het druiven stampen en de wijn quizzen op het podium mogen niet ontbreken. Na een flinke dosis wijnkennis gaan de voetjes de dansvloer op.
Ga genieten van alles wat je tegenkomt in de Gashouder, het Transformatorhuis en op het Klönneplein.
