Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Event Manager Intern to join our team at the London Wine Festival.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of the event, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly and to the highest standards. This role will include a high level of responsibility unusual for an intern, and we want someone hungry for the best possible learning experience in event planning.

The role will also be dealing with and managing our clients (wineries) and dealing with the general public on any ticketing queries.

Responsibilities

  • Support to Event Director/Founder: Logistics, ordering, timings, production. This includes having a great sense of design and aesthetics, helping with choosing  & managing lighting, decor, layout and so forth. The more you are capable of, the more responsibility you will be given.

  • Coordinate with the venue staff, welcome staff and vineyards to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made for the welcome and our clients.

  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote the event.

  • Monitor the event on the night and respond to issues as they arise to ensure that all activities are running smoothly and to the highest standards.

  • Reach out to press, meet/call them so they accept press invitations to the event and write articles.

Requirements

  • We need someone who fits the luxury scene and would be comfortable speaking face-to-face with vineyard owners across the globe and luxury brands
  • Fluent English and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and positive can-do attitude 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Tech savvy as you’ll need manage all the Microsoft suite of applications, Google’s suite of applications and work using tech such as slack, and be comfortable on WhatsApp.
